The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis wants to hear directly from Gallatin Valley businesses on how economic conditions are affecting employers. These insights help the Federal Reserve to better understand the nuances behind the data and support their briefings to President Neel Kashkari as part of their public serving mission.
Examples of the themes they most interested in hearing about:
- How current costs (inputs, financing, supply chain) are affecting operations; what’s behind any experienced price pressures?
- Labor demand and availability, including hiring challenges and retention
- General economic conditions in the region — customer demand, credit conditions, risks, and opportunities
- Any forward-looking concerns or expectations for the next 6 months
